Free Spirit Talks in doncaster
Key Elements to Misson

Martin Garner led a series of equipping evenings on 3 Monday evenings - late February, early March 2006, at the invitation of Rev Alan Murray of St. James at the Interchange, Balby, a city centre church in Doncaster.

Up to about 40 people attended including members of St. James, and leaders from other churches in the area, as well as Sheffield Diocesans Missioner, Rev Sue Hope.

This is a very enjoyable and inspiring part of the Free Spirit ministry, particular where inner city ministry is involved. There were some amazing people present who have been witnessing for Jesus for many years in various ways, so the inspiration process was definitely two-way!

Martin was accompanied on various nights by Steve Plumb, Kelvin Jellyman, and Harry and Marie Sampson - all keen missionary type Christians in their own right, and supporters of Free Spirit.

Topics covered included:

   1) Knowing who you are,
   2) Knowing who they are (people we are trying to reach),
   3) Knowing what the message is,
   4) The vital role of Faith.

Martin and rev Alan Murray

"For too long we have divided the world neatly into two. One part is Sacred, which involves all things church, such as worship, bible studies, fellowship, Christian work etc. The rest of life has been described as secular. Martin's presentation challenges us to break out of the box. With real-life applications, combined with teaching that is based firmly on Scripture, Martin uncovers key life-style gateways to sharing the Good News of Jesus."
