Revival Fires in Sheffield!
by Don Egan

He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing. (Luke 9:11) My dear Friends, I hardly know where to begin. I arrived home at 2am this morning (Thursday) after an amazing meeting in Sheffield.

My great friend Martin Garner of FreeSpirit Trust had advertised a meeting for those wanting to share their faith in the city of Sheffield.

Martin had asked me to take a seminar on praying for healing with those outside the church.
Alison Fenning did a seminar on her mission to prostitutes and the homeless. Martin offered a seminar on breaking through into your community.

My experience of such meetings is that if we got 20 people, we would be doing well. Evangelism is the subject no one wants to hear about, but at 7.30pm on Wednesday, hundreds of people streamed into the Teaching Centre at St Thomas' Sheffield.

At that moment God began giving me visions and words of knowledge like never before.
After some worship, I went to the chapel building to do my seminar, where a crowd of people pressed in to hear about healing and the gospel.
About a quarter of the crowd were asylum seekers from Iran who appointed an interpreter so they could understand my message.
The rest were people from all walks of life in Sheffield including students and professional people. The Iranians sat with open Bibles in written in Arabic.
I preached on Luke 9:11 which says: 'He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.'
There are the three steps to seeing miracles out in our communities. Over my years of ministering to crowds in Asia and Africa I have done these three things.

   We welcome the people.
   We speak about the kingdom.
   We pray for healing.

When we do those three things, the kingdom comes.

Here in the UK we do the same thing.

   We welcome the people.
   We speak about the kingdom.
   We pray for healing.

After the message we had a time of ministry where people were praying with each other.

I observed an Iranian lady from a distance and God told me she was barren and wanted a child.
A few minutes later she approached me and told me she was barren and wanted a child.
I told her of a couple in London who were in the same position.
We had prayer together at the end of a church meeting. A year later they emailed me a beautiful picture of their baby daughter. I believe God will do the same for this lady. Let us pray and believe.

God also told me that before the end of the meeting, I was to put my mantle of healing on a couple he would show me.
10pm came and went, no one wanted to leave. The presence of God was pregnant in the room.
Almost all the Iranians came for personal prayer. All the resources I put out on a table were taken. People were hungry for the word of God.

   I welcomed the people.
   I spoke about the kingdom.
   We prayed for healing.

These people were all keen to share their faith in their communities in Sheffield.

At the end of the meeting, a Sheffield couple approached me and told of a powerful healing anointing they had which the devil had diminished in recent years.
God told me to put the mantle for healing on these two.

Unsure how to do that, I noticed my sweater on a chair. I placed it on the shoulders of the lady. It greatly affected her. She felt the anointing.
Her husband said, "You're as mad a she is!"

As I left the church that night, I saw that couple praying for people for healing on the streets of Sheffield - the lady still had my sweater over her shoulders.

I believe a fire of Revival has been lit in Sheffield. Jesus is working there.

He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.
