Mission of Hope to Rwanda April 2007
I visited Rwanda in October 2005.
I was profoundly affected by my first visit following a clear call from God to begin the Free Spirit trust with an outreach to the poor. In September 2006 I met with Fred Katagwa (ministry director of Africa New Life) and his new wife Anna during their visit to the UK, and together we felt that God has called us into a partnership.
So now I am inviting you to join with me in this partnership. Will you please pray and consider supporting this trip financially?
While we are there the mission team will be:
- Visiting the poor with Gifts of Hope
- Working with street children and widows of the genocide
- Visiting the teachers and children of a new primary school and orphanage
- Speaking to community and church leaders
We have specifically chosen to go in April, as this is the most distressing time of year in Rwanda because it’s the month in which the 1994 genocide occurred.
We want to bring renewed hope into broken lives.
I would really appreciate your prayers as we prepare for this mission.
The costs of the trip will be around £900 per person. I need prayer that can raise that amount. The same goes for Sharon, my wife, who is hoping to be part of the team. (I also believe this could be a very significant time for our family). The airfare will make up about £500 per person of that amount and we need to find this by the end of January, (which is not far off!). We also need prayer for all the health preparations and the safety of the team while we are in Rwanda.
